Our Creative Team

Sue Smythe

Sue formally trained as a commercial artist studying Photography, Illustration, Design, Philosphy, Psychology of Colour and Colour Theory receiving a Diploma of Visual Communications from Seven Hills College of Art, Brisbane.  Her training has allowed her to bring an artist’s touch using materials and ideas unconventionally as well as applying academic thought to her work.
Sue is married with 3 young children and has worked in the industry for 20 years, first as a cardmaker and designer, then for the past 10 years as  a wonderful scrapbooking teacher . She is well known in Brisbane and her work has featured in several craft shows.  Sue won 1st prize at the Brisbane Royal Show (Ekka) for her Heritage Scrapbooking double page spread.  Sue’s style is urban grunge meets bohemian, both busy and layered, sometimes interactive, but always with a difference! Heritage is one of her specialties but also off the page and canvas work and of course wonderful pages for young children.  Sue’s knowledge of products and styles is extensive and for those seeking something further in scrapbooking, they need only to attend one of her classes.
